How to move your private photos to a new iPhone
SwiftLocker can keep your vault in its own private space in your iCloud, which it brings back on a new iPhone. iCloud sync comes with SwiftLocker Premium.
Before you switch
- Open Settings › Cloud Sync and turn on Sync to iCloud. Keep SwiftLocker open until every item shows as synced.
- Tap Test Restore. It checks that every item is in iCloud and downloads a few to make sure they open.
- Open Settings › Security › Recovery Key and write the key down. A new iPhone usually gets what it needs from iCloud Keychain. The recovery key is there for when it doesn't.
On the new iPhone
- Sign in with the same Apple Account, install SwiftLocker, and set your PIN.
- Open Settings › Cloud Sync and turn on Sync to iCloud. Your folders and files come back as they download.
- If SwiftLocker asks for your recovery key, enter the one you wrote down.
A second copy. For one that doesn't depend on iCloud, use Settings › Export backup to save a password-protected backup file to Files or your Mac, and Import backup on the new iPhone.
